We had a fabulous time celebrating our Richmond Clinic’s 30th birthday last Friday, June 11! Despite the rain, we had about 100 people join the fun over the course of the evening. Many of our staff attended, along with volunteers, donors, patients, and other community members. Enjoy photos and stories from the celebration below.
Sarai, Alejandro, and their son stopped in to celebrate with us. Richmond Clinic manager Eleanor Sanchez has known this family for years as they are long-time patients. Eleanor and Sarai were pregnant at the same time and shared that experience, and their husbands also had similar health issues that bonded them. At the party on Friday, Eleanor, Sarai, and Alejandro marveled at how long they’ve known each other and how much their children have grown. The family expressed how grateful they are for CrossOver. Alejandro said, “I hope you’ll be here another 30 years!”
As we set up for the party, our staff member, bilingual patient advocate Nicole Quispe Meza, shared her special talent with us. She is an amazing balloon artist! Check out her beautiful work below!
When she came for her appointment on Monday, CrossOver patient Blanca asked about the balloons in the waiting room. The staff told her about the 30th birthday celebration, and Blanca returned the next day with a birthday cake so the celebration could continue. “You saved my life,” Blanca said. “Thank you so much for what you do.”
“Our patients are just amazing,” says Eleanor.
We are so grateful to everyone who made this celebration so special! And that includes you. CrossOver has been here since 1983 thanks to our donors, volunteers, and community partners and your investment in our mission.
As we near the end of our fiscal year on June 30, we rely on your support to be here for patients who need us in the future. Please consider making a donation that is personally meaningful to you today.
