A brighter Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving means family, fellowship, and of course, food!

This past, Wednesday Roberto, came to our Western Henrico clinic for a routine primary care visit with Dr. Mike Murchie. As the visit progressed Roberto said he was dreading Thanksgiving because his mouth was in so much pain. Upon examination, Dr. Murchie suspected that Roberto had at least one abscess.

Thanks to our integrated electronic health record system, Dr. Murchie was able to make an immediate referral to our dental team. Thanks to a cancellation, there was an open appointment that day. This was great news for Roberto who does not have a car and relies on his brother for transportation.

Roberto was in the dental chair within an hour. Our volunteer dentist removed the three teeth that were causing the problem.

As he left the clinic Roberto thanked the staff and volunteers over and over. He said his mouth already felt better and he was looking forward to turkey!
